The Wackness
So I saw The Wackness tonight.
Besides it's inexcusably retarded title, it was decent.
It takes place in new york city in 1994 and is a coming-of-age type movie.
It wasn't anything too exciting, seemed a little too long, and was cliche at times,
but I think I make it sound way worse than it was. I really enjoyed Olivia Thirlby's
character, Stephanie, (she also played Ellen Page's BFF in Juno).
The soundtrack was also pretty good.
If you are looking for an uplifting movie, this definitely isn't it,
but neither was nyc in the mid-90s.
Sorry to say I don't think it held up to it's hype, but I'm not sorry I saw it.
I'd say just rent it when it's on DVD.
...Or better yet, just rent Kids!!!
